"Judith makes me want to be 62 and see my dream come true. She makes me itch to go through life scarred, skinned, banged up, and wounded if only it would turn me into the woman that she is!"-Achinette Villamor (young mother and manager of an outsourcing firm in the Phillipines)
"I love the way Judith expresses her frailties and faith. The words leap off the page and straight into my heart. Sometimes when I read her stories it almost feels like looking in a mirror. Judith has such a gift and has much to teach us."-Lilly Taylor (one of the Top 100 Australian Women Bloggers)
40 Days In Ordinary Time chronicles the extraordinary story of one woman's spiritual quest, over four decades of her life. With characteristic humor and transparency, Judith engages the reader with her natural storytelling abilities. Written in a unique format, her book braids together strands of 40 days in her present, ordinary life - with strands from 40 years of trials and suffering - on her pilgrimage to real faith and joy. The book ends triumphantly as she emerges from the "wilderness" into the "promised land" of strength, vitality, and purpose.
40 Days in Ordinary Time is a roadmap of inspiration and hope for all.
"I have few regrets as I look back over my life. I have made friends with most of my so-called enemies abandonment, brokenness, failure, mental illness, physical frailty, and pain. Join me on an incredible journey of triumph, healing, and victory over enemies, without and within. It is my testimony to the sustaining power and grace of God."

I absorbed this book as I read it. The author gives such a transparent, down to earth and REAL account of her life it is almost as if she is right there in the room with you as you read it. This book is not for the faint of heart who want a "fluff" read. It is the type of book where you cannot help but examine your own life, your own decisions, your own path and your own faith and relationship with God. Judith has such a deep faith that is truly interwoven through the book. Through her real struggles, we see grace. Through her tears, we feel her pain and we think of our own. Through her mistakes, we mirror our own. This is not the kind of book that you can't put down in my opinion. In fact I put it down many times. It was too much. Too hard at times. Too thought provoking at others. What you see through the book is how God didn't always rescue her but that He was always right there with her - as He is with all of us. I will be reading this book again and again. One last thing. When I finally finished the book I was sitting at my daughter's dance class. I actually reached for my cell phone. I wanted to call Judith. Honestly! That's how connected I felt to her while reading this book, like she was one of my closest friends. That's the kind of book this is. You will be blessed.Product details

Awesome book Judith Quinton is a talented writer this book takes you on quite an interesting journey.
This memoir details an amazing woman's journey from darkness to light, all the while praising her Lord, who guided her along the way. Judith is not afraid to bare her soul in this sometimes-shocking, often tearful, and always hopeful expose' of her life. I came away astounded by her honesty, her strength, her humor, and her always faithful devotion to God.
Many chapters have universal appeal, especially the one detailing the care of her aged mother. It is touchingly poignant, and will tug at the heartstrings of all readers.
After reading this extraordinary book, readers will want another 40 days with this delightful, real, loving woman.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Judith takes you on a journey, her journey, sharing her heartbreaks, joys and difficult decisions. Decisions that led to drugs, promiscuous sex and later abortion. She certainly held nothing back, sharing the most intimate details of her life. She also shared about her marriage to the man she loved and the birth of her two children. There were moments of pure joy as well as moments of utter sadness. You feel as if you are on the journey with her, struggling with her and ultimately rejoicing with her. This book is truly courageous! The writing is exceptional and the story beautiful. What a wonderful testimony of God's GRACE and love! Through it all, Judith held on to her faith and never let go. If you are looking for a wonderful read then you will not be disappointed.
