First things first, I went into this book excited. I love reading about different cultures and combing the Hindi culture and American culture together to create a steamy contemporary romance made me excited to read this story. The writing was good. A little jilted and it did not flow effortlessly but it was good. The timeline of the writing was off ... she would write "the week flowed steady" and then write in the next paragraph "by the end of the day". It became a little confusing. The characters were very well developed and written. Anjali was authentic in her Indiana heritage. I loved that most about this story.
There was too may details written in certain areas and not enough in others. Like I didn't need a full run down on how Tom did an oil change but a little more detail on how he felt about Anjali would have been appreciated. Janice's death was pointless. I get that she was suppose to be this sex crazed bitch but to kill her off and then to justify her death like it was nothing was kinda weird. Also her character was over drawn. I find a women with so much vengeance and anger over sex ... sex she never had with a man a little hard to believe. Maybe if it was written a different way, it would have come across better.
Overall I did enjoy this story. 3 stars for a great story, and well developed characters but jilted writing. This is my first novel by this author but not my last.

Seducing Anjali Summer Haven Book 1 edition by Diana Persaud Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Diana Persaud has written a contemporary romance with subplots and characters that pull you in and keep you interested. Tom has his own set of plans that do not include babies and commitment. Anjali wants to have it all and finds Tom to be a great choice for the future.
This is a great read. By reviewing Wait For Me I was given a copy of the book.
Received a free copy for a honest review.
This was funny, sexy, lovable, with a little alpha male all in one. Their connection was awesome. The characters was believable. The many situations was so funny. Absolutely loved this book. Quick funny sexy read buy this book you won't be disappointed.
Books with depth and layers appeal to me, and "Wait for Me" delivered on that score, in so many ways. A story populated with characters I found easy to relate to, siblings who are successful, and have a family... and then there are our main characters, trying to get a business running, holding off on having a family... not yet at those places in life, or struggling to get to them, and whether they mean to or not, comparing themselves to their siblings. Add a dash of old world pressure from parents, the conflict of move-in together or get married, and the career now and family later vs. the biological clock -- all things both easy to understand, and for me easy to relate to, in part because they are plucked right out of our modern culture and society, and the lives of those around me.
There were scenes in this story that epitomized, for me, beautiful reminders that sometimes we need to stop and think about what we value most in life, and consider what would truly be the greatest tragedy in our life -- vs. what in this moment might feel like a tragedy. (Busy not going gangbusters instantly, or letting the love of your life slip through your fingers?)
Anjali and Tom were surrounded by various "examples" of love and relationships, another aspect of the story I particularly appreciated, because it not only added depth to the story and their lives, but made their perspectives on love and relationships believable and understandable.
There was a moment near the end, where Tom was telling the truth to an authority figure, and Anjali was in the room as well... and it read, for me, as though he cared more if Anjali believed him than if that authority figure did... it felt like Tom had finally realized who and what mattered first, like maybe he had needed Anjali to just wait for him to learn a few valuable lessons about life and love.
I read an early review copy of this book, and not only did I enjoy it greatly, but I've downloaded the final version on Unlimited to I can find out how their story truly turned out after all the final edits -- that's why I gave it five stars instead of just 4. I realized I enjoyed my time with these two characters so much I wanted to read their story again.
Can I first start of by saying that I loved the background on this story and how some families can be condescending and that how you worded some of the scenes was emotionally thought out.
For example when Anjali is visiting her baby niece "Basmati" and how her mother speaks to her and the difference towards the sister!!! There is also the inner monologue of Anjali and Tom which fit in perfectly.
Janice...... I loved how much of a conniving bitch she was shown to us all and how she got what she deserved in the end.
Mickey and Jack were amazing from what I read about them and I do hope there will be more (wink wink).
Travis..... workaholic but can be bend to any women's command with tears *smh* (stand up for what you want man!!!!)
Need more from this author!!!
Received an ARC )
Wanting a baby, a single Indian woman buys a house. Little did she know that the love of her life lived next door.
The authors surname caught my eye. My first time reading her books and would definitely read her books again.
